SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

Annual Gettysburg Trip

The Round Table maintains a longstanding tradition of touring the Gettysburg battlefield, along with its museums, field hospitals and historic homes and farms.

Our August 2026 trip included “Gunfight at the Peach Orchard” and “Comparing the Leadership of General George Meade and General Robert E. Lee.”

Antietam and The Shenandoah Valley

We have recently expanded our travel program to include destinations in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.

In May 2026 we visited Harper’s Ferry with tours of John Brown's Raid and the heights above the town.

The History Chicks

Our own History Chicks additionally organize annual tours of local Civil War interest, including the area’s connection to the Underground Railroad.

The next tour will be September 26, 2026 and will include a tour of the Thomas Espy GAR Post at the Carnegie Library and Chartiers Cemetery.
