The Greater Pittsburgh Civil War Round Table was founded in 2000 in the North Hills of Pittsburgh to provide Civil War and history enthusiasts with an opportunity to meet and experience in-depth insight of the War Between the States.
Our monthly meetings feature presentations on various Civil War topics by Licensed Battlefield Guides, award winning authors, professors, reenactors and celebrated local historians.
Over 100 members strong, we take pride in educating the public about local history and the need for the preservation of battlefields, monuments and Civil War sites.
All monthly programs are free and open to the public. You are welcome to join a meeting!
After a long hiatus, Civil War Jeopardy is back! Test your knowledge (or just enjoy watching others do so) in a variety of Civil War categories ranging from military minutiae to Civil War personalities to life on the home front.
We will play in true Jeopardy style where the answer is provided and contestants, playing in teams, will come up with the appropriate question. All contestants will get three free book raffle tickets just for playing, and those on the winning team will receive special prizes!
Round Table cofounder Allison Caveglia Barash will serve as the female version of Ken Jennings and will be aided by the GPCWRT Jeopardy Clue Crew.
Join us on March 16 at 7:00. Even if you don’t plan to play, be sure to come and cheer your comrades on! Every good game show needs a studio audience! We guarantee a lot of laughs and maybe a bit of learning too!
